Undergraduate Scholarships
“Khon Kaen University” has promoted educational opportunities following the guidelines of a people’s university, embodying a spirit of care and concern for society. In this regard, it has collaborated to fulfill the dreams of students, providing them the chance to pursue their studies until they obtain a bachelor’s degree. Therefore, Khon Kaen University has allocated scholarships to assist students who are financially disadvantaged in order to support their living and educational expenses. Additionally, there are government student loan funds (Student Loan Fund) and (Government Saving Fund) that provide further assistance. 1) Type A Scholarship is for first-year students only (30,000 Thai Baht/scholarship/year)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a first-year student only
- Must have good conduct as a decent individual and adhere to Khon Kaen University’s regulations
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must have an academic performance level that indicates the ability to graduate
- Parents/guardians must have an annual income of less than 60,000 Thai Baht per person or a combined annual income not exceeding 100,000 Thai Baht
2) Type B Scholarship is available for students of all years, funded by the royal endowment of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Khon Kaen University, along with the Modindang Fund. Additionally, there may be other university or government scholarships available in certain academic years, such as scholarships for children from low-income families, scholarships from the Modindang Fund, etc.
3) Scholarships from Private Organizations are scholarships that the faculty or university receives as donations from private sector organizations or legal entities, such as banks and various companies or businesses, to provide scholarships to students who meet the eligibility criteria specified by the scholarship donors.
4) Scholarships for the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy are funds allocated by the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, utilizing part of the income budget, as scholarships for undergraduate students in the Faculty, unrestricted by major or year. However, a key condition is that students must demonstrate good conduct and academic performance but be financially disadvantaged.
5) Lunch Assistance Scholarship is a scholarship to support students who are financially disadvantaged in order to meet their living expenses, educational needs, and daily costs, such as the General Chavalit Fund and the CP Group Fund (average of 750 Thai Baht/month).
