“KKBS JOURNAL” has ascended to Tier 1 journal status, assuring quality standards as certified by TCI.
The KKBS Journal of Business Administration and Accountancy, managed under the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy of Khon Kaen University, has been assessed and certified as a Tier 1 journal by the Thai Journal Citation Index Center (TCI). This recognition is supported by the Office of the National Commission on Science, Research and Innovation (NSRI). The ranking reflects the journal’s exemplary quality and its ongoing commitment to continuous improvement. This certification is effective from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2029. Associate Professor Dr. Khwanruedee Ponchaitiwat , the editor of the KKBS Journal of Business Administration and Accountancy, revealed that this achievement was made possible through the support of the faculty administration, particularly Associate Professor Dr. Pensri Jaroenwanit, the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, for the term 2016 – 2024, who served as a journal advisor and laid the crucial groundwork supporting the establishment of the KKBS Journal of Business Administration and Accountancy. Additionally, Assistant Professor Dr. Pongsutti Phuensane, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy for the term 2024 – present, has continued this vision while promoting the journal’s stable growth. Moreover, Dr. Wittika Thangchan, the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, the journal manager, and the assistant editorial team have collaboratively advanced the journal’s continuous development. “Over the past eight years (2017-2025) of the KKBS Journal, the progression to Tier 1 not only demonstrates the team’s capability in elevating the standards of the journal, but also creates a platform for knowledge exchange in the fields of business administration and accountancy that addresses the challenges of the digital era at both national and global levels. Furthermore, it enhances opportunities for the dissemination of Thai academic work to an international audience. Certainly, the KKBS Journal will continue to develop into a high-quality and standard-compliant journal,” Associate Professor Dr. Khwanruedee Ponchaitiwat stated. The KKBS Journal of Business Administration and Accountancy serves as an academic journal that acts as a medium for knowledge exchange and academic discourse, promoting research and developing knowledge in the field of business administration. It accepts research articles and scholarly articles in both Thai and English; articles submitted for publication must cover content in the disciplines of accounting, finance and banking, marketing, business management, general management, international business management, small and medium enterprise management, human resource management, supply chain and logistics management, operations and production, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), business and service innovation, tourism and hospitality management, economics, management economics, and other related fields of business administration. The journal is scheduled for publication three times a year: the first issue from January to April, the second issue from May to August, and the third issue from September to December.
