The SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) has released the results of the global ranking of higher education institutions for the year 2025 (Scimago Institutions Rankings 2025) via the website https://www.scimagoir.com. According to the national ranking results, in the field of Business, Management, and Accounting, Khon Kaen University ranks 5th among 21 educational institutions in Thailand. In the field of Economics, Econometrics, and Finance, Khon Kaen University ranks 4th among 15 educational institutions in Thailand. The SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) is a ranking of institutions based on their international research output. It ranks a total of 9,054 organizations with research capabilities worldwide, not limited to universities, but also including specialized institutions such as technology institutes, colleges, hospitals, and research institutions. This ranking assesses universities and research institutions based on their ability to disseminate academic works across all types of institutions or universities available on the Scopus database.
