KKBS organized the gratefulness ceremony “Associate Professor Dr.Pensri Jaroenwanit”
On September 19, 2025, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy at Khon Kaen University held a commemoration ceremony for retirees for the fiscal year 2025, under the theme “A Major Milestone to Accomplishment,” at the Thipnapa Meeting Room (1504), Building BS01. The event was organized to honor those who have made significant contributions to the faculty, dedicating their efforts to education, research, and academic services over the past decades. This year marked the retirement of Associate Professor Dr.Pensri Jaroenwanit, Vice President for Student Affairs and Innovation at Khon Kaen University and Dean of Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy for the term from 2016 to 2024.
The atmosphere was filled with warmth and gratitude, commencing with an opening speech and tribute from Dr. Narisa Palusuk, Associate Dean for Administration and Organization Image. This was followed by a video tribute to retirees and a traditional Bai Sri Su Kwan ceremony. Subsequently, there was a performance titled “Yam Yeng Yong Yo Fao Pho Phaya,” followed by tributes from faculty members, including AAssociate Professor Sumeth Keanmanee, former Dean of the Faculty of Management Science and representative of senior faculty members; Professor Kullapapruk Piewthong-ngam, former Dean of the Faculty of Economics; Associate Professor Dr.Bundit Sawunyavisuth, Chair of the Marketing Major; Mr. Weerawat Khopaibool, representative of eminent persons from the faculty board; Mr. Nattapol Khawsavat, President of the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy; and Dr.Nirun Potchani, Director of the Hotel Management Center, followed by a student tribute from the Marketing major, Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy. The event concluded with a heartfelt message to the institution from Associate Professor Dr.Pensri Jaroenwanit, the retiree, and a concluding activity presenting souvenirs and a donation for medical equipment to Nam Phong Hospital, Khon Kaen Province, to enhance the quality of healthcare facilities and patient care.

Associate Professor Dr.Pensri Jaroenwanit, Vice President for Student Affairs and Innovation and the retiree, mentioned that upon reaching retirement age, many view it as a time for rest, travel, or leisure. However, for her, retirement is not ceasing work, but rather stepping from the position to allow the new generation to take over. It is crucial to believe that the new wave is consistently more important and capable than the old. Thus, stepping back allows the new generation to showcase their abilities and build a brighter future. Although retired from the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, she continues to serve at Khon Kaen University and remains willing to assist and support any endeavors, finding joy and satisfaction in being a giver.

“Throughout my career, I am grateful to the executives of Khon Kaen University for their opportunities and guidance, whether it be Associate Professor Dr.Kittichai Triratanasirichai , a former President of Khon Kaen University, and Associate Professor Dr.Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., the current President of Khon Kaen University, as well as many former Presidents who were kind despite my being just a junior faculty member. Additionally, I am thankful to the seniors at Khon Kaen University, including the University Council Chairman and Council Members, along with many deans who served as both colleagues and mentors. The economic organizations of Khon Kaen Province count as acquaintances who have always supported my work, along with private and local institutions that have been of great assistance. Throughout my working life, I have met numerous people, many of whom worked together since day one to the present. Everyone has been a supporter and part of the success, integral to my career as a faculty member,” Associate Professor Dr.Pensri Jaroenwanit concluded.
