The Center of Excellence in MICE and Business Event Industry was established with the support of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University, and the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) in the year 2016. It has been promoted through the Isan MICE Cluster network under the budget from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) since 2015. The vision focuses on the systematic development of the MICE and business events industry. The center aims to create and produce applied research that addresses the context of meetings, award tourism, exhibitions, and events at both national and international levels, while providing comprehensive academic services, from knowledge dissemination and consultancy to professional event management. The primary objective is to serve as a central hub of knowledge and development to produce researchers and experts in the MICE field, as well as to create collaborative networks both domestically and internationally. This approach emphasizes the integration of academia, innovation, and practical experience to elevate the Thai MICE industry, ensuring its competitive presence on the global stage in a dignified and sustainable manner.
