About the Program

In an era where the tourism industry is driven by innovation, technology, and creativity, the Bachelor of Business Administration program in Tourism Innovation Management at the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy at Khon Kaen University is designed to prepare students to adapt to changes and advance to a professional level in the global tourism industry.

This interdisciplinary curriculum integrates business administration and liberal arts, allowing students to showcase their thinking, analysis, and creativity skills through practical-oriented teaching. Students will gain real experience from learning centers focused on tourism, such as KKU Travel (simulated travel company), the Asia-Pacific Tourism Center (CAPTOUR), Isan MICE Student Chapter, and KKBS Spa under the supervision of the Center of Excellence in MICE Industry (CEMBEI).

Students will acquire both theoretical and practical knowledge in collaboration with leading organizations and business networks such as the Khon Kaen Tourism Business Association, the MICE Academic Network of Thailand, the Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization), Khon Kaen International Convention and Exhibition Center (KICE), and many other economic partners. This program is designed to align with the needs of the business sector, enabling students to engage in research projects and projects applicable in real-world situations.

Additionally, students will have the opportunity to intern with leading organizations both nationally and internationally to gain extensive experience and be well-prepared to enter the job market professionally. The program offers two formats: the Thai-language group (courses taught in Thai and English) and the English-language group (courses taught entirely in English), aiming to develop students' foreign language skills by requiring the study of a third language alongside English to enhance career prospects in the global labor market. Furthermore, it also opens the opportunity to participate in a dual degree program with Universidad de Colima in Mexico, allowing students to earn degrees from both institutions, which is a significant advantage for those wishing to work internationally.

Collaboration in Graduate Production: An academic collaboration agreement exists between the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy at Khon Kaen University and the University of Colima in Mexico.

Degree Conferred upon Graduation:   Students who graduate as per the prescribed curriculum will receive a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Tourism Innovation Management from Khon Kaen University. If students choose the study plan under the collaboration agreement between the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy at Khon Kaen University and the University of Colima in Mexico, graduates will receive two degrees, achieved as follows:

At the foreign university, the program requires students to study courses at the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy at Khon Kaen University for three years, and students can then choose to continue studying at the University of Colima in Mexico, for which a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been established for one year. Upon graduation, students will receive two degrees: one from Khon Kaen University and one from the foreign university.

At Khon Kaen University, the program allows students to study courses at the University of Colima in Mexico for three years, after which students can choose to complete their studies at Khon Kaen University, for which a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been established for one year. Upon graduation, students will receive two degrees: one from Khon Kaen University and one from the foreign university.
